The primary focus is on Adult Reconstruction; with additional opportunity to work with complex trauma, pelvis, and oncology tumor reconstruction, as well as joint preservation and hip arthroscopy. Leading the way, our fellowship includes extensive research opportunities and mentorship involving faculty members, residency programs, and medical students. Formal didactic conferences are held to complement the clinical experience, while participation in annual conferences and monthly journal club meetings round out the schedule.

Hip Preservation and Reconstruction-2020  / Steadman Philippon Research Institute

Under the guidance of Dr. Marc Philippon and Dr. Joel Matta, this fellowship provides in-depth training in adolescent and adult hip preservation surgery. As a world leader in hip arthroscopy technique and innovation, Dr. Philippon has trained many prominent surgeons in hip arthroscopy.
The fellow will learn the most current hip arthroscopy techniques for the treatment of femoroacetabular impingement, labral tears and chondral damage. The fellow will also come to understand the causes of revision hip arthroscopy and will develop the skills to treat these conditions.
