The Cancer Imaging Program (CIP) Fellowship at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute provides extensive training for radiologists and nuclear medicine physicians in body imaging including MRI, CT, PET/CT, and US in adult patients with cancer. Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) is a Harvard Medical School Teaching affiliate and provides adult clinical care jointly with Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
U.S. applicants must be board-eligible or board-certified in radiology or nuclear medicine. Foreign applicants must have radiologic or nuclear medicine training, have ECFMG certification and be eligible to obtain a clinical visa prior to starting the fellowship.
Applicants should send C.V., Personal statement, USMLE scores, 3 reference letters (which must be sent directly by the referees) to the address below, and a recent photograph of yourself. Canadian Physicians and Doctors of Osteopathy who are eligible may substitute documents: LMCC/MCCQE and COMLEX examinations. Other foreign applicants must send ECFMG certification.

The programs offer a comprehensive education in modern nuclear medicine practice, including classical diagnostic nuclear medicine, nuclear cardiology, PET/CT, and PET/MRI. In addition, there is wide exposure to therapeutic applications of radioisotopes and theranostics in the therapy clinic, including radioiodine, and more recent theranostic approaches such as Ra-223 and Lutetium-177 DOTA TATE.

This position is ideal for candidates who have completed medical school and a radiology residency. It offers great opportunities to work in a first-rate academic environment conducting interdisciplinary research at the intersection of oncologic and quantitative imaging.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with an accomplished background in oncologic imaging research, including experience in quantitative imaging and radiomics. Familiarity with medical imaging methods, including CT, MRI and PET/CT is expected. Research topics include development of new imaging biomarkers for assessment of tumor response to therapy, imaging-based tumor diagnostics and classification, as well as validation and reproducibility of imaging methods and quantitative techniques.
